Every step you take at the Burlington Walk for Dog Guides helps provide life-changing Dog Guides to Canadians with disabilities – at no cost to them. Hosted by the Burlington Lions Club in cooperation with the Aldershot Lions Club, this annual walk raises funds and awareness to support the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides. After the walk, enjoy complimentary hot dogs and refreshments as a token of our appreciation for your support.

What Are Dog Guides?
Dog Guides are specially trained to assist individuals with:
🔹 Vision Loss – Guide Dogs help those who are blind or visually impaired.
🔹 Hearing Loss – Hearing Dogs alert their handlers to important sounds.
🔹 Seizure Response – Trained to recognize and respond to seizures.
🔹 Service Support – Mobility assistance for people with physical disabilities.
🔹 Autism Assistance – Support and companionship for children with autism.
🔹 Diabetes Alert – Detect blood sugar fluctuations and provide life-saving alerts.
Each Dog Guide costs $35,000 to raise and train, but is provided at no charge to those in need. Your participation in this walk helps fund these incredible dogs!
